Weyerhaeuser Company is searching for a Quality Control Supervisor for the Arcadia Oriented Strand Board (OSB) facility in Simsboro,
louisiana
.

Arcadia OSB is located in the Sportsman's Paradise of Lincoln Parish in north central Louisiana. It is situated near Ruston and Grambling, Louisiana, home to Louisiana Tech and Grambling State Universities.

The QC Supervisor is responsible for the safety, supervision and management of quality control technicians. This position reports to the Technical Manager.

Key Functions
The QC Supervisor is responsible for the development and management of the Unit's quality control technicians, with safety of associates being the highest priority. The QC Supervisor is accountable for continuous improvement of finished good quality initiatives and functions and enforcing quality control standards and procedures. This role acts as a liaison with other departments, units, or organizations to discuss quality standards, address concerns, and resolve issues. Responsible for the development and training of associates including coaching, mentoring, and skill development. Participates and/or leads initiatives as needed and problem solving activities.

The following qualifications are required:
Bachelor's degree in Wood Science Technology, Forestry, Forest Products or a technical field.
Must possess a passion for safety with demonstrated caring and understanding of what it takes to be injury free.
Must be flexible to support a 24/7 operation, which includes anytime response support and weekend/holiday work if necessary.
Ability to understand & identify quality issues and develop solutions to resolve.
Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
Ability to develop teams and skill sets of associates.
Strong
computer
skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, such as climbing stairs and working in extreme heat or cold
Strong analytical skills
Knowledge and understanding of Total Quality principles
Ability to analyze variables utilizing scientific methods & SPC
Ability to coordinate continuous improvement activities

The following qualifications are preferred:
Knowledge of the OSB manufacturing process
Experience in a supervisor or leadership role with a track record of consistently demonstrating positive leadership skills and accomplishments.
Application and knowledge of LEAN manufacturing tools
Knowledge of quality control techniques and wood technology measurements

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
